Oil Creek Cleanup Event

Belton’s Oil Creek Cleanup Event: Saturday, December 9, Noon —4

The Belton community is invited and encouraged to join friends and neighbors to care for the community by participating in the first fall stream cleanup event at Belton’s Oil Creek at Wallace Park, 16400 N. Mullen Road, Belton, MO.


Noon:   Register at information tent—south of soccer fields off Mullen Road

Enjoy Hot dogs

Stream/water quality information available.

Pick up trash that has accumulated since the March Stream Cleanup event


3:00: Enjoy light refreshments

Learn about stream monitoring with stream monitoring demonstration by   Missouri Stream Teams

Bring your family and your own reusable bottle of water. Wear appropriate clothing and shoes. Safety training, gloves, and trash bags will be provided.

This event helps the City of Belton meet MS4 requirements, and is sponsored by the South Grand River Watershed Alliance, Belton Parks & Recreation, City of Belton Public Works, Missouri Stream Teams, and the Missouri Department of Conservation.
