The South Grand River Watershed Alliance (SGRWA) was formed in 2005 by concerned residents of the South Grand River watershed in west-central Missouri. The SGRWA is a 501(c)(3) organization under Internal Revenue Service code.

The South Grand River Watershed Alliance is committed to the protection of watershed through the education of the private citizens, land owners and public agencies. Our Mission is to promote the preservation, protection, and restoration of the South Grand River Watershed by providing education for residents, government officials, and businesses about the watershed, and about actions each can take to preserve, protect and restore its waterways; by advocating for the protection, preservation and restoration of the watershed; and by undertaking community projects to serve as models that individuals, businesses and governments can adopt to protect water quality and water quantity.
